Translating YouTube’s most argumentative series into a bold brand and motion package


Julie’s Top 5, the YouTube series created and hosted by Julie Adenuga, one of the UK’s favourite taste-makers and personalities. With weekly episodes streamed on YouTube alongside a live chatroom, Julie & her special guests hotly debate the top 5 songs from an artist’s album or discography – it’s no wonder NME touts it as “the most argumentative show” about music. Now in its 5th Season, Top 5 continues to spark ‘arguments with your friends’ over artists like Frank Ocean, J Hus and The Spice Girls. The concept might be simple – but everyone agreeing certainly hasn’t been!

Since Season 3, we have collaborated with Julie and her team to develop a bold identity and broadcast package used across all episodes and assets. A selection of timeless music artworks are pulled together to form the logo, combined with playful motion as characters fight and struggle to find the space they need.
